Eco Tree Guards

Anyone who is in the business of planting tubestock has had experience with installing tree guards as protection against the elements and the "critters".

It can be a nightmare ... unless you have one of the newer generation guards designed to be easier to install.

Following on from EcoPlant developing our own fertiliser additive, we are now marketing the ECO TREE GUARD; a corflute, reusable tree guard that is designed for ease of installation and functionality.

The first feature is that it uses only one "flat faced" stake that is sturdy enough to hammer in without it snapping. Only hammering in one stake instead of 2 or 3 is a dream; saving both effort and time.

The second feature is that the flat face of the stake braces the tree guard against the wind so it doesn't flap about as much as traditional tree guards; so they are less likely to expose the young plant.

The third feature is that it the guard is circular and so the wind will whisk around it rather than like the more traditional triangular and square shapes that capture the wind. Flat face guards are more likely to blow off or put pressure against the plant and cause damage or expose it for grazing. The circular design also gives more internal space for the plant, unlike the confined space of carton shaped guards on the market.

And yet another feature is its rigid design. Made of hardy corflute the guard cannot be uplifted by fauna for grazing like the thin plastic products. The stake is a tight fit so together with a rigid guard these guards stay in place.

These guards are made from quality corflute, and with the stake being hardwood they are an investment that can be re-used.

The price point for this quality tree guard is very competitive when it comes to comparing it to other similar ones on the market. There may be cheaper options but when you consider unit cost against installation cost, a guard with a one stake installation will always come out in front, and ECO tree guards also have the benefit of being re-usable.
