Our Origins

The Beginning

EcoPlant had its beginning in 2008. Our founder Ryan Key, with a solid history in the nursery and landscape industry in South Africa, identified a niche in the landscape industry.

He realised mass planting was an achilles heel for a lot of landscape companies. He devised a service that would take the pressure and hassle out of planting by creating a risk-free, fixed price contract planting service.

This gave clients the freedom to complete their projects without worrying about missed deadlines, questionable quality, and quotes that didn’t quite match final prices.

Constant Improvement

The Ecoplant Difference

The team at EcoPlant is always learning and evolving - we have streamlined our planting techniques and systems. We’re continuously revising our safety system, ensuring our staff are fully trained and 100% competent in all safety requirements and beyond, forming part of our six-stage safety framework.

In line with our values, we’ve also implemented a paperless office and field system.

In under a decade, we’ve not only become a trusted brand in contract planting, we’ve also fostered great relationships with a number of clients who have employed our service many times.

EcoPlant now boasts a fleet of 18 vehicles with 16 crews across QLD and NSW and a roster of over 50 employees.

One of our greatest achievements helping Australia offset carbon emissions by planting over 10 million trees – and counting!
